IPL season suspended as Covid-19 cases rise

The Board of Control for Cricket in India has suspended the 2021 Indian Premier League season after a growing number of players and staff tested positive for Covid-19.

The BCCI and the IPL's governing commission did not say when or whether the league would return, after a unanimous decision on the suspension was taken following an emergency meeting today (Tuesday).
