IOC ‘exploring possibility’ of esports festival as Bach talks up Singapore’s hosting credentials

The International Olympic Committee and the Singapore National Olympic Council have announced they are “exploring the possibility” of staging a “festival of virtual sports and gaming” in Singapore next year.

The IOC is looking for a host for the finals of the next Olympic Virtual Series. The esports series, which was held for the first time last year, is part of the committee’s plan to develop esports products and experiences.
