Huya secures five-year $311m rights deal for LoL events in China

Chinese streaming platform Huya has signed an exclusive five-year media rights deal with China’s League of Legends operator Tengjing Sports and will pay a total of CNY2.013bn ($311m/€256.7m) over the course of the contract.

The deal, covering the period 2021 to 2025, will grant Huya live broadcast, on-demand and distribution rights to the League of Legends Pro League (LPL), League of Legends Development League (LDL) and LPL All-Star Event.
