Golden Boy Promotions has struck agreements with OTT streamers Stadium and Pluto TV, and several regional sports networks to air simulcasts of undercard boxing matches on November 2 ahead of a headliner light heavyweight bout between Canelo Alvarez and Sergey Kovalev that will be shown on DAZN as part of large-scale deal between that platform and Golden Boy.

In Stadium’s case, the undercard matches will be shown across its entire portfolio of distribution outlets, including free over-the-air television, and include additional programming such as post-fight interviews. Financial terms were not disclosed, but Golden Boy will receive some commercial inventory.

The effort in part will also expose DAZN’s boxing programming to a wider audience, in turn, seek to drive viewers toward the subscription-based DAZN. The fights add to Stadium’s existing battery of combat sports offering including MMA events and Ring of Honor wrestling.

One of the undercard fights involves the pro debut of Evan Holyfield, son of former world heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield.
