Fifa will expand its Club World Cup to 32 teams in 2025, president Gianni Infantino said today (Friday), while he also announced that the world governing body has set a budget of $11bn (€10.3bn) for its next four-year financial cycle.
Speaking at a press conference ahead of the World Cup final between Argentina and France in Qatar on Sunday, Infantino said: “The new men’s Club World Cup will take place in 2025 and will feature 32 teams.
