England-Germany audience peaks at 20.6m on BBC

The BBC’s live coverage of England’s 2-0 victory over Germany at the Uefa European Championship yesterday (Tuesday) attracted a peak television audience of 20.6 million.

The UK public-service broadcaster also registered a record 5.6 million streams on its iPlayer service for the match, which saw England progress to the quarter-finals of the tournament.
