DFL to halt private equity talks after club vote

The German Football League (DFL) will halt talks with private equity firms after less than two thirds of Bundesliga and 2. Bundesliga clubs voted in favour of continuing discussions.

The DFL held an extraordinary general meeting in Frankfurt today (Wednesday) to decide whether to proceed with its search for external investment after receiving indicative proposals from five private equity firms.
