Major League Soccer club DC United has given up controlling stake of United Soccer League Championship affiliate Loudoun United FC but will retain a minority stake in the franchise.
Attain Sports & Entertainment, which also runs Baltimore Orioles' minor league affiliate team Bowie Baysox, has taken over the second-tier club. Attain Sports chief executive and managing general partner Greg Baroni will oversee club operations.
