China cracks down on extreme running events after ultramarathon deaths

China's General Administration of Sport has suspended a variety of sports competitions, including extreme sports and long-distance running events, following the deaths of 21 runners at an ultramarathon event last month.

Affected events include running events in mountains and deserts, wingsuit flying and ultramarathons.
