Blackhawks to play NHL preseason game in Milwaukee

Fiserv Forum, the home venue of the National Basketball Association's Milwaukee Bucks, will stage its first National Hockey League game on October 2, when the Chicago Blackhawks face off against the Minnesota Wild in a preseason matchup.

The "Home Away From Home Series" game will be the NHL’s first in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, since 1993. The Bucks' former venue, the Bradley Center, hosted NHL preseason and regular-season games annually between 1988-93.

The move enables the Blackhawks to expand their regional reach and enables the Bucks to further monetize Fiserv Forum.

“We are excited to bring the Blackhawks experience to our fans out of Chicago, and we can’t think of a better place to start than our incredible neighbors to the north,” said Jaime Faulkner, Blackhawks president of business operations. “We’re hard at work designing a gameday fans won’t want to miss as the first NHL team to bring a game to Fiserv Forum in partnership with the Milwaukee Bucks and BMO.”
