BCCI president says hosting IPL was ‘not a mistake’

Sourav Ganguly, the president of the Board of Control for Cricket in India, has defended the board’s decision to host the Indian Premier League Twenty20 tournament while the country faced a Covid-19 crisis.

In an interview with the Indian Express, Ganguly said that India’s premier cricket tournament, which started on April 9, was only called off because the number of cases “has just gone through the roof”.
