The Board of Control for Cricket in India has confirmed it intends to complete the interrupted 2021 Indian Premier League season in the United Arab Emirates in September and October.

The Indian board is also asking the International Cricket Council for an extension of time before confirming India will host this year's T20 World Cup, scheduled for October and November. The UAE has also been mooted as an alternative host for the World Cup.
