Band deems Copa América ‘too expensive’, Globo to air Paulistão Feminino

Brazilian commercial broadcaster Bandeirantes has passed up on the opportunity to acquire rights to the Copa América international football tournament, deeming the Dentsu agency’s asking price as too high.

Dentsu had reportedly stipulated an $11m (€9m) asking price for rights to three editions of the competition until 2028, UoL reported, but Bandeirantes was said to have deemed this too high.
