The Atlantic Coast Conference and Southeastern Conference have partnered with ESPN to establish the ACC/SEC Challenge men’s and women’s basketball tournaments, which will debut in the the 2023-24 season.
The new event replaces both the ACC/Big Ten Challenge and SEC/Big 12 Challenge and follows the Big Ten's landmark media rights deal with CBS Sports, Fox Sports, and NBC Sports, which was agreed in August.
