2007 WNBA ALL-STAR TO BE TELEVISED IN 198 COUNTRIES

The 2007 WNBA’s All-Star Game, the eighth in league history, will be held at the Verizon Center in Washington, DC on Sunday, July 15 and televised nationally in the US on the ABC network.

WNBA team rosters for the 2007 season feature 22 international players from 14 countries and territories. Seattle’s Lauren Jackson and Phoenix’s Penny Taylor, both from Australia, have both been named to the Western Conference team, and will represent the league’s international contingent at the 2007 All-Star Game.

Eleven first-time WNBA All-Star Game telecasters will air the game in the following markets: China (Guangzhou TV, Shanghai TV), Costa Rica, El Salvador and Honduras (NBA TV-Amnet), Finland (Urheilu+kanava), Japan (J sports 1, J sports 2, J sports Plus), Pan Africa (NBA TV-CanalSat Horizons and NBA TV-CanalSat Reunion), Pan Caribbean (NBA TV-CanalSat Caraibes) and Uruguay (NBA TV-TCC).
