Video | The sustainability features at the Atlanta Falcons’ new stadium

AMB Group, the parent company of the Atlanta Falcons and Atlanta United FC has released a video showcasing the sustainability features at the Mercedes-Benz stadium, the new home for its NFL and MLS teams.

In the video, Arthur Blank, the teams’ owner and the private funder of the stadium project, describes the decision to try to attain a Platinum LEED rating (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) for the building. The Mercedes-Benz arena will be the first NFL or MLS stadium to attain the Platinum rating, saving an estimated 29% in energy usage versus a typical stadium design according to the owners.  

To reach this rating, the stadium includes features such as solar panels, rainwater harvesting and the capacity to charge 48 electric cars. To watch the video, click on the image below.
