Global Sports Forum announces awards shortlist

The shortlist of the Global Sports Forum Barcelona Trophies has been announced. The Trophies are a series of awards to showcase high-quality sport-related initiatives in areas at the heart of the debates due to take place throughout the Global Sports Forum from March 8 to 10.

The Trophies will be awarded in the following categories: Sport and Education, Sport Business, Sport, Culture and Creativity, Sport in the City, Major Sports Events, Sport, Philanthropy and Cooperation, Sport and Geopolitics, and Sport and Health.

The shortlist was picked from 49 projects currently running globally by NGOs, companies, organisations, foundations and universities. The 49 projects were analysed by a judging panel of speakers from the 2009 Forum according to the criteria of innovation, social impact and a capacity to overcome certain challenges. The winners will be decided by the Global Sports Forum Barcelona’s Honorary Committee.
