ANZ Bank will sponsor the stadium in a deal reported to be worth A$31 million over seven years, starting from 2008.
The stadium, originally called Stadium Australia and then became the Telstra Stadium. Australian telecoms company Telstra last week announced it had cut short its naming rights sponsorship of the stadium as part of a wider move to wind down its financial commitments to local sport.
"This stadium is one of the world's great sporting and entertainment arenas and, because of the 2000 Olympics, holds a unique place in the hearts of all Australians,'' ANZ CEO Mike Smith said. "We are proud that it will carry the ANZ name.''
