The Formula One motor-racing championship has announced a series of new appointments to its motorsports division.
Nigel Kerr, who has run the financial operations and strategy of a number of F1 teams for the last 15 years, will become the series' new finance director. Kerr has worked with F1 teams including British American Racing, Honda, Brawn and most recently Mercedes, where he has held the position of chief strategic officer.
He played a key role in the former Brawn GP management buy-out from Honda and subsequent sale to Mercedes in 2009.
Ross Brawn, the managing director of F1's motorsports division, has also hired Jason Somerville as head of aerodynamics and Craig Wilson as head of vehicle performance.
