The former head of global sponsorship sales for the Williams Racing Formula 1 team, Justin Mountstephens, has launched a sports marketing agency, Mountstephens Sports Marketing (MSM).
The new agency will advise global corporations on their sport and entertainment strategies and help them identify and acquire new partners in sport. A statement from the new firm indicated its portfolio already includes work with the English Premier League, Football League, NFL and Formula One.
Mountstephens launches the business having spent five years with the Williams Racing where he was responsible for global sponsorship sales. During his tenure with the Oxfordshire team, he led RokiT’s transition into the sport and secured significant partnerships from global brands headquartered in the US, Asia and Europe.
Before this he spent three years as a senior sales manager for eBay UK and had stints heading up automotive and technology sales at the Mail Newspaper group and Metro.co.uk.
Mountstephens said: “We are clearly in difficult times but I’m excited to embrace change and add invention, imagination and new ways of thinking to drive as much value as possible for my clients.
“I’m determined to breathe new life into the business of sport by introducing new companies to our incredible industry that can contribute to supporting a sustainable new era for sport and entertainment with incremental sponsorship and digital revenue streams for properties and athletes.”
Mountstephens said he would offer a free consultation for a limited time only to celebrate the launch of the new agency.
