US Soccer, USWNT agree to short-term CBA extension and abolish NWSL allocation system

The United States Soccer Federation and the US women's national team have agreed to extend their current collective bargaining agreement through at least March 31, 2022, a move which extends no-strike and no-lockout clauses.

The CBA between the federation and players was due to expire on December 31. But time has run out to secure a new deal in large part due to the various scandals that have rocked the NWSL in recent months.
