UIPM receives 61 proposals for new modern pentathlon discipline

The International Modern Pentathlon Union (UIPM) has said it has received 61 proposals from across the world to identify a suitable replacement for horse riding as its fifth discipline.

The UIPM has provided an update on what it claims is the “significant progress” made in the first quarter of the year by the UIPM New 5th Discipline Working Group (WG), the body which is overseeing the process.
