Turkish Süper Lig football club Trabzonspor has signed a three-year sponsorship deal with Chinese smartphone brand Huawei and Turkish telecommunications company Turkcell.

The club said in statement that the two companies will pay TRY52.5m (€8.2m/$9m) in cash over the period, or €2.7m per year.

The deal puts the brand in the second tier of Trabzonspor sponsors below Turkish home appliances brand Vestel and healthcare group Medical Park.

Vestel is Trabzonspor’s main shirt sponsor in a three-year deal, signed in May, worth €3m ($3.3m) per year, according to the club.

Medical Park holds the club’s stadium naming rights to Medical Park Stadium, the club’s 42,000-capacity arena, which opened in 2016.
