The International World Games Association (IWGA) has extended its sponsorship deal with Swiss watchmaker Tissot.

The brand will be the Official Timekeeper and Results Service for the 2021 World Games. The multi-sports event is staged every four years by the IWGA.

The pair’s association dates back to the 2009 World Games in Kaohsiung, Taipei. In 2021, the 11th edition of the event will be held in Birmingham, Alabama between July 15 and July 25.

DJ Mackovets, chief executive of The World Games 2021 Birmingham, said “Tissot is the most respected international multi-sport timekeeping, data handling and results distribution organisation in the world.

“Their global experience, paired with their long-standing working partnership with host broadcaster ISB, will ensure that our timing, scoring and results are delivered at the highest possible calibre.”

Tissot is a brand with a long history in the world of sports timekeeping, dating back to 1938. It currently holds deals with organisations including the NBA, ASO (Tour De France), UCI and MotoGP.
