Chinese conglomerate Suning has said it will focus entirely on its retail business going forward, raising questions over the future of its investments in sports properties, which include Italian football club Inter Milan, Chinese Super League club Jiangsu FC, and sports streaming platform PP Sports.
Suning's owner Zhang Jindong issued a statement on Friday saying: "We will focus on retail business resolutely, close and cut down our business irrelevant to retail business without hesitation".
