The 2019 World Beach Games local organising committee has unveiled a host of Qatari and international companies as partners and sponsors of the inaugural edition of the multi-sport event which takes place next month.

The Qatar Olympic Committee has been named the official partner of the Games while Katara Cultural Village and Aspire Zone Foundation are the official venue partners.

The official sponsors are: Baladna, the largest dairy producer in Qatar; Mowasalat, a leading transportation firm in Qatar; and Bornan, the international sports technology company.

The official suppliers include Xtreme Marine, a major supplier of boats and boat maintenance services; sports apparel and equipment supplier Sports Corner; and Qatari water company Al Rawda.

LOC director general HE Jassim Rashid Al Buenain said: “ANOC World Beach Games Qatar 2019 offers us the opportunity to showcase once again our passion for sports as a nation and our wonderful hospitality as a great host.

“I believe the event will not only promote the values of ANOC but also foster unity and cooperation among the participating countries.”

The Association of National Olympic Committees in June announced that Qatar would stage its inaugural World Beach Games after San Diego was stripped of the hosting rights to the event, which will now take place from October 12-16.

ANOC secretary general Gunilla Lindberg said: “All the partners, sponsors and suppliers will play a critical role in ensuring the Games is the great success we know that it will be.

“The ANOC World Beach Games Qatar 2019 will be the first time ever that this combination of dynamic and youth-centric beach, water and action sports have come together on the world stage. With nearly 100 NOCs participating it will be a truly global event and will connect new sports and stars to a new generation of fans.”
