South American quartet mount bid to host 2030 Fifa World Cup

An official South American joint bid to host the 2030 Fifa World Cup has been unveiled by the Uruguay, Argentina, Chile, and Paraguay soccer federations.

Uruguay hosted the inaugural World Cup in 1930 and the bid is envisioned to mark the centenary of the tournament.
