Shanghai and Amsterdam awarded World Rowing Championships

Shanghai and Amsterdam have been awarded hosting rights to the World Rowing Championships.

Shanghai, which was due to host the 2021 World Rowing Championships before they were cancelled because of the Covid-19 pandemic, will stage the championships in 2025. It will be the first time the event has been held in China.
