Called the Copa de or la Concordia (Reconciliation harmony), the president of the Colombian federation, Alvaro Fina, has invited the four teams that would have comprised Group A of the Copa America – Colombia, Ecuador, Venezuela and Chile. It is thought Bolivia, Peru and Honduras may also be invited.
The tournament will act as a warm-up for Colombia’s all-important World Cup qualifying matches with Ecuador and Peru.
