International federations continue moves against Russia, Belarus

The International Judo Federation and International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) are among a number of international sporting federations to have handed out fresh sanctions against Russia and Belarus amid the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.

The IJF last month suspended Russian President Vladimir Putin’s title as its honorary president and ambassador, but has now moved a step further by stating that this honour will be removed permanently.
