The Volleyball Federation of India has agreed several sponsorship contracts for its Pro Volleyball League.
Its title sponsor, card payment service Rupay, has extended its deal for a further three years after initially signing for the inaugural season of the competition in 2019.
Indian clothing brand Peter England and Bank of Barado have signed two-year agreements to become associate sponsors of the league. Nippon Paints has signed a one-year associate sponsor contract.
There are set to be further additions to the league’s sponsorship portfolio, including long-term deals with a fantasy game partner and equipment partner set for imminent announcement.
Kunal Kalawatia, chief of marketing for RuPay, said: ‘’Our constant focus is to target next-gen customers and provide experience especially customised for them. We believe RuPay Pro Volleyball League is an ideal platform for us to reach out to the young India.”
The second season of the Pro Volleyball League will begin on February 7, 2020. Its first edition was watched in 45 countries by 22 million viewers.
