Middle Eastern logistics firm GWC has signed as the first Official National Supporter of the 2019 Fifa Club World Cup in Qatar.
The company will deliver logistics and supply chain services for the event. It has been involved with major international sports events hosted in Qatar since 2006, and has significant resources in the country including what it says is “the largest self-contained logistics hub in the region”.
GWC Group chief executive Ranjeev Menon said: “We are passionate about being part of the Fifa Club World Cup Qatar 2019 as a National Supporter, a role that falls in line with our long history of supporting the nation’s greatest sporting events, youth, and helping people make success stories. We proudly promote the world-class sporting and logistics infrastructure that we in Qatar are developing.”

The 2019 tournament takes place from December 11 to 21 at three venues in Qatar. It is title sponsored by internet technology company Alibaba Cloud, under which the official name for the tournament is the Fifa Club World Cup Qatar 2019 presented by Alibaba Cloud. Five Fifa Partners also sponsor the tournament – Adidas, Coca-Cola, Wanda, Qatar Airways and Visa.
