CWC 2007 bid deadline due

The bid committees of Antigua & Barbuda, Bahamas, Barbados, Bermuda, Guyana, Grenada, Jamaica, St. Kitts & Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent & The Grenadines, Trinidad & Tobago and the United States are currently finalising their official responses to the 290-page ICC CWC 2007 bid book.

All responses must be presented by Thursday evening.

Says Chris Dehring, managing director of ICC Cricket World Cup West Indies 2007 Inc: “Several of the bid committees have reported that they are now working around the clock to meet the challenge of responding to the bid book.

“We are very confident that the collective resources, intellect and will of the region will result in exciting proposals which will meet and even surpass expectations of the ICC and the global cricket fraternity.”

Following the May 6 closing date, there will be two months of review and critical analysis by the CWC 2007 venue assessment team (VAT).

The award of matches by the CWC 2007 board of directors will be made on July 12 by the ICC.
