The Chinese women’s national volleyball team has agreed sponsorship deals with bedding brand DeRucci-MuSi and edible oils brand COFCO Fulinmen.

The deals are aimed at supporting the team through the Tokyo 202o Olympics.

In the press release announcing its deal, DeRucci MuSi said it would “tailor a complete set of healthy sleep solutions” and become a “healthy sleep consultant” for the team. The company said its goal was to be a “world champion in the field of healthy sleep”, and that it has been conducting research and development “in the field of sports and sleep”.

MuSi has previously sponsored the Australian Open tennis tournament, in 2018, and the Fiba Men’s Basketball World Cup in China this year.

Fulinmen is one of the brands owned by Chinese agricultural and food products giant COFCO (China Oil and Food Corporation), also the parent company of Fifa World Cup and Olympics sponsor Mengniu Dairy.

The deals bring the team’s sponsorship roster to 16. It has four official partners: Pacific Insurance (insurance sponsorship category), Lenovo (computers), Tencent Sports and Tencent News (media). There are six official sponsors: Bright Dairy (dairy products), Adidas (clothing), Haier (air conditioner), Huida Sanitary Ware (bathroom), MuSi (bedding), Fulinmen (cereals and oils). And there are six official suppliers: Jinluo (ham sausage), Yoroyal (health food), DE&E (range hoods, gas stoves, integrated stoves and other electrical appliances), Meitao Ceramics (tiles), Shui Qingqing (rice), Ganten (drinking water).
