Canadian Premier League’s FC Edmonton folds

Canadian Premier League commissioner Mark Noonan announced that the league's board of governors unanimously voted to end Fath Sports Limited's right to own and operate FC Edmonton, resulting in the team not playing in 2023.

All FC Edmonton players who are not free agents can return to their parent clubs or become eligible for selection by the remaining CPL teams.
