Foot Locker extends key NBA deal

Foot Locker has penned a new “multi-year” deal to sponsor the National Basketball Association’s (NBA) ‘Three-Point Contest’ during All-Star weekend.

The Foot Locker Three-Point Contest pits six of the NBA's best long-range shooters against each other and the clock in a test of long-range accuracy.

The athletic retailer has been the title partner of the Three-Point Contest since 2004 and plans to engage fans in the build-up to this year's event through a '3 for 3 Sweepstakes', which will offer fans the chance to win Foot Locker prizes.

"Our partnership with the NBA for the Three-Point Contest during NBA All-Star further strengthens our heritage in basketball," said Stacy Cunningham, corporate vice-president of marketing for Foot Locker.

Along with the Foot Locker Three-Point Contest, NBA All-Star Saturday Night presented by State Farm will also feature the Haier Shooting Stars, Sprite Slam Dunk, and Taco Bell Skills Challenge on February 19 at Staples Center in Los Angeles. The 60th NBA All-Star Game will take place the following day and will be aired in more than 200 countries across the globe.
