LLOYDS TSB APPOINTS SALLY HANCOCK AS LONDON 2012 PARTNERSHIP DIRECTOR

Lloyds TSB announced that Sally Hancock, founder and Chief Executive of Redmandarin, will become the company’s London 2012 Partnership Director.

Reporting to Nigel Gilbert, Group Marketing Director, Hancock will be responsible for the strategic development and delivery of Lloyds TSB’s sponsorship of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Lloyds TSB is the first official domestic sponsor and announced its partnership on 14 March 2007.

As Chief Executive of Redmandarin, Hancock led the team that worked with Lloyds TSB to assess the potential of an involvement with London 2012, helped to shape the programme and was integral to the negotiations.

Nigel Gilbert, Group Marketing Director, said “This is a very important position since our Olympic and Paralympic sponsorship will form a central part of our marketing activity for the next five years. Sally has been working intensively with us since we embarked on our Olympic journey, and I am very pleased that we have secured her services.

“Redmandarin will continue in its role with our business and as one of our long-term roster agencies. The strategic approach it takes has resulted in a clear framework for us jointly to create solutions to the objectives and challenges unique to our business, and the value of Redmandarin, and its associate agency Helios Partners, will remain, given their unique approach and experience.”

Sally will continue to provide support to Redmandarin one day a week, enabling the company to draw upon her strategic experience and business contacts. Shaun Whatling, who has been a Redmandarin board director for 18 months, becomes Chief Executive.
