Vietnamese telecoms operator Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT) has been unveiled as the seventh top-tier sponsor of the forthcoming Southeast Asian Games in the Vietnamese city of Hanoi.
The sponsorship agreement – which is reported by local media to be worth VND18bn ($790,000/€735,000) – sees VNPT become a ‘diamond’ sponsor alongside beer brands Saigon Beer and Bia Viet, sportswear brands Dong Luc and Jogarbola, food company Ajinomoto and packaging manufacturer Stavian Chemical.
