Sky ups EFL fee by 50 per cent in deal for over 1,000 matches per season

English Football League clubs have unanimously approved a new domestic media rights deal with pay-television broadcaster Sky, confirming the league organising body’s recommendation to remain with the incumbent for another five seasons, despite serious interest from multi-platform subscription operators DAZN and Viaplay.
