The Russian Volleyball Federation (VFV) claims to have filed a lawsuit against the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) in a Swiss civil court, seeking $80m (€76.8m) in compensation for the loss of its hosting rights to the 2022 Men’s World Championship.

This year’s edition of the Championship was held in Poland and Slovenia from August 26 to September 11 after the FIVB named the two countries as the new co-hosts in April.
