Premier League appoints barrister Ryder to board

The Premier League has added barrister Matthew Ryder to its board as an independent non-executive director after clubs unanimously voted in favour of his appointment.

Ryder will begin his new role next week and will join the league's five-person board, which also comprises chair Alison Brittain and chief executive Richard Masters, alongside independent non-executive directors Mai Fyfield, a former media executive, and venture capitalist Dharmash Mistry.
