China revises sports legislation, warns of countermeasures when it is ‘undermined’ at sports events

China’s legislative assembly has approved a revision to the country’s sports law that allows for countermeasures against countries, regions or organisations that "undermine" China at sports events.

The revision states that China may take action against parties that undermine its sovereignty, security, development or dignity at sports events. However, it does not give examples of what constitutes undermining.
