FC Bayern Munich has launched a brand shop on the Amazon online marketplace.
The shop will retail around 100 products to begin with, including merchandise from regular ranges and products created exclusively for distribution on Amazon. It is initially only available in Germany, although the club also has an online shop on Chinese online retail platform Tmall Global.
“Our goal is to be present where our fans are,” said Jörg Wacker, executive board member for internationalisation and strategy with responsibility for merchandising and licensing: “The Amazon marketplace is very important for e-commerce in Germany. Online marketplaces play an important role in our merchandising strategy.”
