TELEKOM AUSTRIA SUPPORTS EURO 2008
Telekom Austria signed a National Supporter agreement with Uefa, European football’s governing body, for Euro 2008, which will take place in Austria and Switzerland. It will be the tournament’s official telecommunication provider in Austria.

THREE 2014 CANDIDATE CITIES ANNOUNCED
Sochi (Russia), Salzburg (Austria) and PyeongChang (Republic of Korea) were today accepted by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Executive Board in Lausanne as Candidate Cities to host the XXII Olympic Winter Games in 2014. The cities were accepted unanimously from a total of seven Applicant Cities, which also included Jaca (Spain), Almaty (Kazakhstan), Sofia (Bulgaria), and Borjomi (Georgia).
