The British round of the MotoGP motorcycling championship will be held at Silverstone in 2017, with the Northamptonshire circuit also on stand-by to stage the 2018 event as delays continue to hit the Circuit of Wales project.

Dorna Sports, the agency that operates and promotes MotoGP, has announced that the motorcycling world championship is set to return to Finland in 2018, while the German Automobile Club (ADAC) has agreed a five-year extension to its race deal.
