The German football league, the DFL awarded Premiere pay-TV and Web rights to show live Bundesliga football matches for the next four seasons.

Under the deal, Premiere will pay € 225 million for the season starting 2009, rising to € 275 million by 2012-13 , more than last time around, but with extended rights including live Internet streaming.

The new match schedule includes more kick-off times, enabling Premiere to increase its coverage. In total the DFL will receive € 412 million a year for all the media rights, three million a year more than under the current contract.
