Is it Time for Sporting Events to Accept Their Responsibilities?

Sporting events are a great promotional tool, and they almost certainly boost host territories’ investments and projects. In doing so, they provide a tangible legacy for the city and its inhabitants. But these sporting events require so many investments and strive to reach such a broad audience that host territories have a right to expect far more than “just” infrastructures as a legacy from these events.
