The Kentaro agency and Jerome Anderson’s Sport Entertainment and Media Group (SEM) have agreed a deal to become corporate partners.
“After establishing ourselves in the TV rights and football event management business, we are now looking to further enhance our activities in the club and player management sector,” said Philipp Grothe, Kentaro Group joint-CEO.
SEM is headquartered in London, and has 20 employees spread across its offices in the UK, the US, Portugal, Switzerland and Spain. The company represents over 150 professional footballers and clubs in Europe. Its past and present clients include Rio Ferdinand, Thierry Henry, Barcelona, Juventus and Arsenal.
Kentaro became a majority shareholder of Northern Sky, one of the leading player representation agencies in Scandinavia, in 2007.
“Thanks to SEM’s incredible global network there will be fantastic synergy which will help us to continue our growth in the market,” said Grothe.
German investment bank Ferber & Co provided financial advice to Kentaro on the new deal.
