In the latest move to put ‘official’ content on the site, Chelsea becomes the first Premiership club to share content from its paid-for club channel Chelsea TV appear on a special club-branded zone of YouTube.
News and clips – although no live footage – will be carried at www.YouTube.com/ChelseaFC. The content is produced by Chelsea and BSkyB subsidiary Chelsea Digital Media.
Chelsea's chief executive, Peter Kenyon, said: “We are delighted to work with YouTube. Chelsea is the first football club to move into what is clearly one of the fastest-growing new media platforms.
"This will allow us to offer our fans exciting Chelsea FC content in a very unique way, as well as an opportunity to reach a whole new audience."
