Polish media group TVN has expanded and revamped its OTT platform with the launch of Player+, its new video-on-demand and live channel offering.
The monthly subscription service will include premium content from pay-television operator NC Plus and an array of sports action.
This will include the Canal Plus Sport, nSport Plus, Eleven Sports and Eurosport channels. TVN launched its initial VOD service, Player.pl, in 2014, redeveloping its earlier TVNPlayer.pl service.
Maciej Maciejowski, member of the management board of TVN, said: “Currently, over five million real users have subscribed to the Player service. The Player+ offering will definitely expand these numbers. Thanks to strategic cooperation with the NC Plus platform, we have created the best legal VOD and TV service in Poland.”
International sports broadcaster Eleven Sports last month enhanced its coverage in Poland of football’s German Bundesliga and agreed to sublicense on to NC Plus selected matches on an exclusive basis.
